Peter was born in Newcastle upon Tyne but has lived in Yorkshire for the past 35 years, working in hotels for 30 of them.
He is a lover of the outdoors and regularly heads to the Yorkshire Dales to take in the wonderful countryside.
Over the years Peter has scaled the parks highest points, with his favourite being Buckden Pike. He also loves to cycle the park and has climbed the waterfall at Malham Cove, which he describes as a beautiful place to be.
Peter has a passion for food and drink and recommends William and Victoria’s, just a five minute walk from the hotel and offering hearty portions of British classics and fine wines.
He believes that Harrogate represents a perfect place for the first Country Living Hotel to open as the surrounding area offers everything that readers would be looking for, with numerous attractions, beautiful scenery, fantastic events and great restaurants.
Peter is married with two children; he has a passion for rugby and cycling and has enjoyed spectating when big races such as the Tour de France and Tour de Yorkshire have come through Harrogate.
